It's no secret that one of my favorite places to take my friends and family is Lucky Palace in Bossier. Since my move to Bossier 3 years ago, I found a place that celebrates wine as much as my family does, and the owner Lim makes everyone feel like a superstar. His staff is always warm and friendly and every time my family goes we ask for Dexter. Who doesn't love getting their meals paired with the perfect wine? It's a treat and it's clear Lim has poured his heart and soul into his employees, which in turn, his employees pour the best wine from the most extensive wine list in Louisiana.

I tell everyone it's the best-kept secret in The SBC, only the brave can enter, seriously, it's located inside a motel that many of us would not normally visit, at least not for a meal. However, those Duck on scallion pancakes are worth the change of scenery. It has not taken long for Lim and Lucky Palace to get the national attention they deserve. Lucky Palace has now caught the attention of the New York Times.

I was scrolling through Facebook and saw the headline that said "In Louisiana, Love for a Chinese Restaurant and Its Magnetic Owner" and I saw Lim's picture and my heart skipped a beat, out of joy of course. The New York Times' description was dead on "For years, Lucky Palace has drawn fans for its intriguing wine list. Now, they come to help their dear friend Kuan Lim in his time of need."
