It seems like the Shreveport/Bossier City area has been a hotbed for great jobs lately.  Between the humongous Amazon Center, the new sawmill in Bossier Parish, and several other projects in the pipeline - we're bursting at the seams with job opportunities, and pretty good paying ones at that.

The Jobs Situation in Shreveport is Looking Pretty Good

The latest news on the job front in Shreveport is excellent, especially if you know anything about steel.  According to the report from Opportunity Louisiana, Ternium USA has announced a gigantic $98 Million investment in their facility at the Port of Caddo-Bossier.  That means the 157 people that are already gainfully employed at Ternium are about to get some very happy co-workers.

Shreveport's Ternium USA is Doubling-Up on Production - and That Means Jobs

The planned expansion at the plant will add a second a second coil coating paint line which will allow the company to increase it's production by an amazing 53%!  The process involves cleaning, treating and painting flat sheet metal that is rolled into coils and shipped to various manufacturers.  The new line will be able to produce a whopping 120,000 tons of finished product every year.

Shreveport's Ternium USA is Bringing Lots of Good-Paying Jobs With This Expansion

Those lucky enough to land one of the coveted 35 new direct jobs can look forward to an average yearly salary of $69,000 plus benefits for their hard work - but that's not all.  According to the report, the addition of the second line will also bring 98 indirect jobs to Northwest Louisiana.
