The New Orleans Saints have come to an agreement with former Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.

The deal has been announced via a plethora of Twitter posts, although there is no official announcement on the Saints website, or NFL.com as of this writing.

The deal is announced as 4 year deal with Carr, a free agent after being released from the Las Vegas Raiders.  Carr met with the Saints twice in the past few weeks, even bringing his wife with him on the latest trip.

Speculation is the Saints will release former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston to make room on the roster for Carr.

The nine year veteran, a 4 time Pro Bowler, was drafted by the then Oakland Raiders in the 2014 NFL draft, and was released on February 14th, 2023.   Carr's brother David was selected by the Houston Texans as the first overall pick of the 2002 draft, and played for various teams until 2012.
