Remembering Extreme Championship Wrestling

It's hard to believe that it's been 16 plus years since the original ECW closed up shop. Extreme Championship Wrestling was one of the most influential, controversial and polarizing wrestling companies in the history of wrestling.

ECW is often remembered for it gratuitous sex and violence, but it was so much more than just that. They had innovate, cutting edge stories. They were the first wrestling promotion to bring the high flying, lucha libre style of wrestling to the states. They created more WWE stars than any other wrestling promotion of its era. And, maybe most importantly, they created the blue print for modern indy wrestling promotions (there wouldn't be a Ring of Honor or Lucha Underground without ECW).

So, in honor of the legacy of Extreme Championship Wrestling, here are some of my favorite EXTREME moments. Thank you Paul Heyman for making me a life time wrestling fan.
