Former WWE and ECW wrestler announces he is battling cancer

Earlier this week, former WWE (WWF at the time) and ECW wrestler Jason Knight made the startling announcement that he is battling throat cancer, and that it's advanced. In a post on his Facebook page, Knight announced the diagnosis and declared "The battle really starts now."

Knight fought in multiple TV matches for WWF WWE in the early 90s before finding success in ECW, where he won the World Television Title and defended it in multiple matches. He was in and out of pro wrestling for most of the late 90s before hitting the independent circuit in 2000. He eventually returned to ECW in 2005 where he remained until 2009.
