Louisiana is the "Sportman's Paradise". So, why miss out?

Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator will be offering hunter's safety courses this fall. The standard class will be offered at the Sheriff's substation at 9956 Mansfield Road. The first classes will take place September 30th through October 2nd. And the second classes will be October 14th through the 16th from 6-10 p.m.

There will also be a required Field Day for online students on September 21st at the Caddo Sheriff's Regional Training Academy located at 15639 Hwy. 1 South, at 8 a.m.

Louisiana law requires any person born after September 1st, 1969 must be Hunter's Safety certified by the state to hunt. This is a great opportunity offered by the community to start hunting in the state. Students will be taught basic hunting skills, firearm safety, and hunting ethics by Sheriff Prator and other seasoned hunters.
