A shoplifting call at a local retail store turned into a huge bogus bills bust for Bossier City police, and four arrests were made.

Police say it all started when patrol officers were called to the Wal-Mart on Airline Drive in reference to two men store security officials caught shoplifting. Officers arrested 38-year-old Jedediah Sanchez of Thibodeaux and 33-year-old Sherman Sullivan of Pleasant Hill for theft of goods.

During their investigation, detectives located Sullivan's car in the parking lot, along with two accomplices -- 25-year-old Christine Armstrong of Doyline and 28-year-old Juston Tolley of Converse. Officers found more than 30 sheets of paper containing counterfeit $20 bills inside the vehicle, as well as a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and a smoking pipe.

Detectives with the Bossier Sheriff-Police Financial Crimes Task Force were called out to assist with the investigation. All four suspects were booked into the Bossier City Jail for monetary instrument abuse, possessing meth and possessing drug paraphernalia. Sanchez and Sullivan also face the shoplifting charge.
