Shreveport Aquarium Hosting Sharks in the Dark Sleepover
Few things are as scary as a shark. These perfect killing machines are the apex predators of the ocean, and are as beautiful and graceful as they are deadly. Seeing these vicious and elegant creatures up close and personal is a treat, as long as you are on dry land and they are in an aquarium befitting their majesty. Shreveport Aquarium is the perfect place for a close encounter with these magnificent animals.
Coming up on Sunday, October the 13th - the Shreveport Aquarium wants to have a sleepover with you and their sea-faring friends. No scuba gear is required for this slumber party, as you will be napping in the dry part of this aquatic wonderland. No need to worry about your kids missing school, there are no classes on Monday the 14th because it's Columbus day.
The event is called Sharks in the Dark, and children from 5-17 years old are invited! Spend the night with sharks, rays, jellyfish, and some of the most interesting denizens of the deep at one of the coolest places in the Ark-La-Tex.
The cost is $45 ($40 for members), and there are a limited number of available spots. Lots of cool activities are planned, including:
Sleeping in the aquarium with hundreds of sea creatures!
Professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff to guide you through your experience
A fun scavenger hunt
Outdoor night sky viewing
Campfire (weather permitting) and s'mores
Continental breakfast
