Shreveport Bank Robbery Suspect Identified
Shreveport Police are on the hunt for Mark Longenecker, the man they believe is responsible for a Monday morning bank robbery. Police say that Longenecker allegedly brandished a gun at the Regents Bank on Pines Road and demanded money from the clerk. After getting money, the suspect allegedly fled the scene in a Nissan Pathfinder.
The suspect then led police on a chase on I-220 before ultimately escaping in the woods on Lilian Street next to Rose Street off Jefferson Paige Road.. Witnesses told police they saw a man matching Longenecker's description jump into a white pick up truck and flee the area. The witness says the truck was a White Ford, was dirty and had damage to the front.
Police believe Longenecker is armed and dangerous. Police urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
