Shreveport Police Arrest Homicide Suspect
Shreveport Police Violent Crime investigators have arrested Tristen Thomas (10-23-03) for the March 5th, 2023, murder in the 5100 Block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.
On March 5th, 2023, officers were called to a shooting in the 5100 Block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. As officers arrived, they discovered an 18-year-old female who was deceased from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased by the Shreveport Fire Department.
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit were called to the scene and a homicide investigation then followed. It was learned that the victim met several people at the skating rink after the business closed, to fight. The victim engaged in a brief physical altercation with the suspects, and the victim was ultimately shot and killed.
On March 8, 2023, Tristen Thomas was arrested for one count of 2nd-degree murder.
