Shreveport Police Arrest Man Armed With a Machete

On April 9th, 2023, at 10:55 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to an armed person in the 2400 block of Lakeshore Drive. On arrival, the responding officers learned that a male identified as Dangelo Crockett (1-24-1994) was causing a disturbance outside of a local business.

On arrival, officers found that Crockett had reportedly threatened individuals while armed with a machete. The suspect reportedly pointed the machete at a victim and stated, “I’m going to kill you,” before entering the store and stealing items.

Crockett was arrested for one count of aggravated assault, and one count of theft.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
