One of my favorite childhood memories is of running through a sprinkler on a hot day here in Louisiana! In fact, just about a month ago, if you were spying on me, you probably saw me playing in the water hose with my horses. You're never too old for fun!

After two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the R.W. Norton Art Gallery is bringing back their popular 'sprinkler day' event.

If you've ever been on the grounds of the R.W. Norton Art Gallery, then you know folks love to get their pictures taken there. It's gorgeous! The gardens are positively lush and are a perfect backdrop for bridal, family, and/or senior photos. Speaking of being lush, we're pretty sure it takes an army to keep all of their azaleas and greenery watered, especially since it's been so hot and dry lately. I don't know about you, but it just makes sense to let folks come out and enjoy the scenery while taking advantage of all that water!

Sprinkler Day is this Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the R.W. Norton Art Gallery and the event is FREE to attend!

That's right, this event is free to participate in. The organizers just ask that you bring your own towels, lawn chairs, and sunscreen. Sprinkler Day will run from 10 am - 1 pm on the south lawn of the gardens and there will be food trucks on site from Onos Hawaiian Grill, Hot Dawg Hut, Dripp Donuts, and Baskin Robbins. Bring your appetite and get ready for some fun!
