We asked several people to tell us about the food items at the fair that they MUST have, and here are the Top 6.

I swear the funnel cake doesn't taste as delicious if it's not consumed at the fair. I think the same can be said for all food consumed at the fair.

Several of the State Fair concession trailers that you love will be set up and ready to serve you. You don't have to wait to get home before you dig in, there will be tables set up under the covered patio.

I remember the good old days when fried Twinkies and candy bars were the exciting additions of Fair Food. Some were bold enough to offer fried butter. Californians, go figure, have taken Fair Food to a level I hoped to never see. The  California State Fair will debut this year a Maggot Grilled Cheese Sandwich, sickeningly dubbed the Maggot Melt.
