Last week, it was revealed that Lacuna Coil had backed out of the 2014 ShipRocked Cruise. The band cited "very serious personal family matters" as the reason for pulling out, and in a new open letter posted today (Dec. 31) from vocalist Cristina Scabbia, we may have a better understanding as to why Lacuna Coil decided to skip the rock cruise.

Bad news from the Lacuna Coil camp. Those looking forward to seeing the band on the 2014 ShipRocked Cruise will have to catch the band at a later date, as the Italian metal act has pulled out of the cruise to focus on "very serious personal family matters."

Lacuna Coil just finished recording their new album with producer Jay Baumgardner (P.O.D, SEVENDUST, EVANESCENCE AND PAPA ROACH), and while still hard at work in the studio, they took a break to perform at the Metal Females Voices Festival in Wieze, Belgium...

Italian Multi-Million album sellers Lacuna Coil made a stop at The Warehouse last night, and 99X Rock-A-Holics scored free tickets and a chance to hang with the band before the show:

Strange. Over the past couple of weeks, I've had several people ask me questions like "What happened to Sevendust?", "What's Lejon (Witherspoon) doing these days?"...

Lacuna Coil are making sure their faithful followers are able to keep up with the latest news from the band by launching their own social network-fan community. The group teamed with Mobile Backstage to create the application, which will allow fans easier access to all kinds of Lacuna Coil information.

Lacuna Coil continue to issue personal updates informing fans of what’s going on in their world. The latest came in the form of a two-minute video courtesy of beautiful frontwoman Cristina Scabbia. The lovely singer filmed the clip while getting ready for a gig in Sardinia. She was sequestered in the bathroom while she shared some news about the band’s forthcoming Dark Legacy tour.

In the last 'Hottest Rock Babe' challenge, Amy Lee's (Evanescence) used her international fan base to bump off Lzzy Hale (Halestorm).  This time, Amy won't have that advantage, as she goes up against an Italian metal goddess, Christina Scabbia of LaCuna Coil!

Lacuna Coil has a new album,  Dark Adrenaline, in stores and online...and they're on  Gigantour with Megadeth, Motorhead, and Volbeat.  Hopefully this album and the tour will get them the attention they deserve.   One of my favorite bands for several years now, Dark Adrenaline is a return the sound they had prior to the over-polished album Shallow Life.  The songs are little poppier, but they're c

The Gigantour, featuring Megadeth, Motorhead, Lacuna Coil and Volbeat, is officially underway, kicking off Thursday in Camden, N.J. The highlight of the night, according to some friends at the show, was when Lacuna Coil’s Cristina Scabbia joined Megadeth onstage to perform ‘A Toute le Monde’. You might recall that ‘A Toute le Monde’ originally debuted on Megadeth’s 1994 release ‘Youthanasia,

I've been keeping an eye on the 99X Facebook and listening to you guys for a while now...and apparently we don't play enough Lamb of God or Lacuna Coil. So, I figured right out the gate we'd throw Lacuna Coil and Lamb of God in the pit and see who comes out on the other side: Lacuna Coil is an Italian gothic metal band from Milan...
