I was a flag-waving, patriotic, hot week in the Ark-La-Tex, your Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a total of 78 persons last week, 23 by BCSO, and another 55 were turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.

We wrapped up June last week and started dipping our toes in and testing the heated waters of summer here in the Ark-La-Tex, your Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a total of 84 persons last week, 29 by BCSO, and another 55 were turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.

If you watched the Olympic Trials this weekend then you got to see Texarkana native Joscelyn Roberson compete in gymnastics for a spot on Team USA in the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris this month.

Great news for the Texarkana area asTexAmericas Center (TAC), which owns and runs one of the biggest and best industrial parks in the United States, recently announced that it has been chosen as a new Union Pacific Focus Site.

This is a fantastic public safety program where our community will benefit greatly. There is now a partnership between the Cass County and Miller County Sheriff’s Offices, and the Alzheimer’s Alliance Tri-State Area. It's called Project Lifesaver and it will help families of those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, as well as Autism and Down Syndrome.

June is now bringing the heat, and we're not quite to actual summer just yet. Your Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies had a total of 83 arrests last week, 36 of which were by BCSO, and another 47 were brought in and turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.

The wet weather continues as we fall into June with a much better report after 3 solid weeks of over 90 arrests each week. Your Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 76 total people last week, 20 of those by BCSO, and another 56 were brought in and turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.

As the end of May approaches and the weather is getting hotter and wetter, our arrest numbers in Bowie County went in the wrong direction again. Your Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 95 total last week, 35 of which were by BCSO, and another 60 were turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.

The 3rd week of May was just a teenie-bit better than the second week, but, better is better, we'll take it. Your Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies had 90 total arrests last week, 32 of which were by BCSO, and another 58 were turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.
