Texas Rock Band Celebrates Inclusion in Marvel Universe

The latest chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Marvel, has been making big waves at the box office, and a lot of people are paying attention. Including an alt rock band from Texas.

The band The Toadies are from Fort Worth, Texas. They have a long-standing relationship with the Ark-La-Tex, playing a lot of shows between East Texas and Shreveport over the last two decades. They're most known for songs like "Possum Kingdom" and "I Come From The Water".

They're also big comic book geeks. So when they were watching Captain Marvel, a particular easter egg caught their attention. Here's a tweet from Toadies member Mark Reznicek...

That's right, their band appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, that makes them canon. The Toadies (as well as Hum and Bush) are now members of the MCU.
