The Film Prize Is Coming Back to the SBC
One thing I learned quickly after I moved to the SBC is how popular this place is for film making. So many blockbusters have been filmed here, so it's no surprise that we have a local group that doesn't just encourage local filmmakers, but celebrates them. The SBC has been home to several The Film Prize 2018 Kickoff Celebration is coming back to the SBC! Thursday night January 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm several Film Prize lovers and film lovers will all get together in the Central Artstation's Engine Room at the Shreveport Regional Arts Council. The Kickoff Celebration will be free to all film lovers, free food and a cash bar will be a part of the festivities. The 7th Annual party will celebrate last years success and they'll be giving away $1,000! Any filmmaker who gets their registration in before January 18th is automatically entered for a thousand dollar film making grant. So make sure you get registered at lafilmprize.com.
The award-winning Film Prize has helped create over 600 short films. The Film Prize first started in 2012 and in 2016 they created a High School version of the locally loved Film Prize.
