Kevin Smith Is Coming To Shreveport for Geek’d Con

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con is roaring into 2023 with its biggest and best lineup yet.

The show is set for August 18th-20th, 2023 at the Shreveport Convention Center in Downtown Shreveport. Its a three day event, running Friday through Sunday. If you're not familiar with what a "comic con" style event is like, here's a quick rundown of what to expect at Geek'd Con:

• There will be over 200 vendor booths set up, where you can shop with vendors that come in from all over the US. From Iowa to Washington, California to New York, vendors from all over will be there. Not to mention a large number of local vendors, including local artists.
• You get to have meet & greet opportunities with celebrities all weekend. From movie stars to comic book artists, social media influencers to filmmakers.
• There will also be panel discussions and Q&A sessions with celebrities all weekend.
• Plus cosplay madness, including a Cosplay Contest on Sunday
• There's way more, but these are the basics.

So yes, that means you can have a chance to meet Kevin Smith in Shreveport. But it won't just be him. In fact, this is going to be a full blown View Askewneverse reunion event.

Not only will Kevin Smith be in Shreveport, but so will Jason Mewes, Brian O'Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Marilyn Ghigliotti, Harley Quinn Smith, and Ming Chen. All from the View Askewniverse. Not to mention Brandon Routh (Superman from Superman Returns and the CW's DC Comics shows) who is in the extended View Askewniverse from Zack and Miri.

One of the first things posted about Kevin Smith's Geek'd Con appearance is that it will be limited. He will only be appearing on Saturday, August 19th, 2023. During that appearance, the number of in-person autographs he will be doing is VERY limited. That means if you have a movie poster, DVD, action figure, or anything besides an 8x10 photo you'd like signed, you have to have an in-person autograph ticket.

There will be pre-signed photos that will be autographed during a private event in Shreveport that you can purchase, but they will be limited to 8x10 images.

Here are the options to get a Kevin Smith autograph at Geek'd Con this year:

In-Person Autographs

This is the basic in-person autograph, where you get to bring your own item (or pick and 8x10) to get signed with Kevin. You get to meet him as he signs your item at Geek'd Con.

An Autograph and a Pro Photo-Op

This option gives you a chance to get a Kevin Smith autographed 8x10, and meet Kevin for a Professional Photo-Op at Geek'd Con. Even though the autograph doesn't happen in-person, you still get to meet Kevin during the photo-op.

Join the Krewe Of Clerks

Not only do you get a signed 8x10, you get to meet Kevin for a photo-op in Shreveport, PLUS you get to join the Krewe of Clerks, and take home Krewe of Clerks swag.

Want An Even Bigger Krewe Package?

How about meeting Kevin twice in one day? You get your item signed in-person, then you get to meet Kevin again for a photo-op. Plus you get to join the Krewe of Clerks with your Krewe package.
