This Texas Mattress Store Just Made The Worst 9/11 Joke Ever

This Sunday is the 15th commemoration of the terror attacks of 9/11. It continues as a day of mourning for many across the United States. For many of us, it is the only major attack on US soil we've experienced in our lives. For others, it's apparently a good day for a sale.

This mattress store in San Antonio just dropped the worst 9/11 joke EVER.

I'm not one to get offended by things, in fact, I'm not even offended by this, but this IS something that I think was wrong. Being offended by something, and thinking something is stupid, are two totally different things. I think this is flat stupid, but I'm not offended by it.

These people will face their repercussions, but they have a First Amendment right to be stupid, to be ignorant, and YOU have a First Amendment right to be offended if you want. But I'm of the mind that we should let the public sort this one out. If enough people think this is stupid, and don't ever want to buy anything from these people again, it will work itself out. But to have people online calling for them to be jailed (or worse in some cases) is stupid too.

Pete Davidson is a comedian, most known for his time on Saturday Night Live. Pete's father was a New York City firefighter who died as a result of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. His father was last seen as he rushed up a staircase to save others on 9/11. Pete Davidson often makes 9/11 jokes while performing stand-up comedy.

Pete Davidson does this because he has a First Amendment right to do so, just like the mattress morons do. The difference being that Davidson's humor comes from pain, the dingus with the mattress idea is out of profit. Both instances will be allowed to play out in the court of public opinion; if people think Davidson's jokes are stupid, they'll stop going to his shows or watching the movies he's in...if people hate the mattress people now, they'll never buy from them.

9/11 will forever be a strange day for US citizens, everyone remembers and reacts differently. But the one thing we should all remember, dates we commemorate due to the loss of life should be void of any and all mattress sales...
