So, this is awkward.

Last night, I didn't watch one second of the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. Why? Because I pretty much knew the results. It was announced before the show that Tenacious D's Dio cover won for Best Metal Performance, which set the tone for this year's fails. Then AC/DC was going to do a couple minutes to cross 'rock' off The Grammys' checklist for another 12 months. They would go on to drool all over themselves for hours.

I got everything I needed second-hand from the internet. Which isn't pretty either by the way, most of the people 'live Tweeting' The Grammys are the people you never want to hear from anyway.

But, there was a moment that caught my attention. Everyone remembers when Kanye West interrupted a Taylor Swift acceptance speech with the now classic "I'ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time..." Well, this time, he almost did the same thing to Beck when they announced his win over Beyonce for Album of the Year. As seen here:

The biggest difference this time? WE ALL WANTED TO PULL A KANYE. Who didn't want to storm the stage last night and ask The Grammys what the hell they were thinking? Not because of Beyonce not winning an award, but because they've botched 90% of their awards since Jethro Tull beat Metallica for Best Rock/Metal Performance in 1989.

He's right. As weird as it is for me to say it, Kanye is right. The Grammys don't have any clue what they're doing. Worst part, we're feeding into it. By the rock community, and now the urban community both blowing them up about it, they're trending worldwide, people are saying their name, asking if you watched. EVEN THIS BLOG IS WHAT THEY WANT.

Oh well, I'm not going to watch again next year. I hope you don't either. Bring on the Golden Gods.
