What Beauty Trends for Women Do Men Find Attractive?

If you've been around for a while, you know that trends come and go, especially when it comes to women's beauty. But do men like the end result? We asked!

This is what I posted to social media for one of my highly unscientific research projects.

I was pretty shocked by the number of women who responded, even though the question was clearly meant for men. I was even more shocked by the number of women who took offense at the very thought of a woman caring about what men thought of her appearance. While nice in theory, I don't buy it. Plus, I wasn't casting aspersions on those who keep a vigorous maintenance routine/beauty regimen.

For the record, I get my nails done, I tan, I color my hair, I've had Botox and fillers, although not recently, and when I get my makeup done, I always opt for lashes. All that being said, I'm still happiest in a ponytail, bare-faced and covered in horsehair. However, if I'm reading the room right, guys appreciate it when we put effort into our appearance, but in the end, prefer their lady to appear more natural.

In short, men are just happy we pay them any attention at all ladies! Maybe it's time to worry less about snatched waists and how to perfectly contour our noses, and more about tending our inner beauty?

To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
