COVID-19 wreaked havoc on our community and it's no secret that we are still dealing with the aftermath of the lockdown. So many businesses that once upon a time thrived in Shreveport-Bossier were suddenly closing their doors and we all watched in horror.

I will say seeing so many people in our community opting for locally owned and operated made me so happy. The lockdown taught a lot of us the importance of choosing to spend our money with people who invest back into our community.

A Broadmoor favorite took to their Facebook page to make the announcement that no business owner wants to hear. However, there was a silver lining in the somber announcement. Lilah’s Broadmoor Bunnery's Facebook page says they will permanently close their doors on Sunday, July 25th. However, the trusted king cake connection assured us they will still operate seasonally for all of our occasions that call for cake.

Lilah's Broadmoor Bunnery wants to get rid of all they can. Beginning Tuesday, July 20th Lilah's will be selling cinnamon buns and croissants for just a dollar.

"Dear Lilah’s Community,
Lilah’s Broadmoor Bunnery at 3950 Youree Dr. will permanently close on Sunday, July 25. Lilah's Bakery will continue operating seasonally for all of your favorite king cake holidays including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and—of course—Mardi Gras!
To help us go out with a bang, all cinnamon buns and croissants will be $1 beginning Tuesday, July 20. Come help us eat all of these delicious buns!
We sincerely thank each and every customer who purchased buns, coffee or sandwiches, picked up a king cake, tagged us on social media, or just dropped by to say hello. You all make the challenging days worth it!
Now: Go out there and grab life by the buns!
Sincerely,
The Lilah’s Broadmoor Bunnery Team"
