Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.  When playwright William Congreve wrote those words in 1697 for his play The Mourning Bride, he must have been able to peer into the future at what 41 year old Adrienne Satterly of Hiram, Georgia was up to this week.

According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, Satterly had been fighting tooth and nail in an especially bitter divorce.  Unfortunately for her, she lost the house - and it may have been her breaking point.  Adrianne is now being held in the Paulding County Jail without bond, facing 14 counts of first-degree arson, 3 counts of aggravated animal cruelty, and one count of public drunkenness.  It all started when Mrs. Satterly stacked up mattresses in her living room, set them on fire, then grabbed her cats and walked to Wal-Mart according to investigators.

Her plan was to burn the house down instead of turning it over to her soon-to-be ex-husband, but the fire she started quickly engulfed the entire neighborhood.  In total, the flames claimed 20 homes, 4 were completely destroyed.

Due to the quick actions of first responders and more than a fair amount of luck, only one minor human injury was reported.  Unfortunately 2 dogs and a cat perished in the blaze.
