WWE Money in The Bank Predictions: Who Wins the First Ever Women’s MITB Match?
For wrestling fans, tonight will be a historic night. Traditionally, the Money in the Bank ladder match is WWE's way to give someone a huge push. The idea that winner of the match can cash in for title match at any turn is exciting. And this year, WWE and Smackdown are turning up to 11 with the first ever Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match.
So who wins? Who becomes the next big thing in WWE? In a few short hours, we'll find out for sure. But, here are my predictions about what will go down tonight.
Kickoff Show Match: The Colons v The Hype Bros
Lets face it, the Colons haven't had much success since their rebranding. They've done nothing but job to the tag division. And I don't expect anything different tonight. I think you see the returning Zack Ryder pick up the win for the Hype Bros in 10 minutes or less.
Women's Championship Match: Naomi (C) v Lana
I love the fact that Lana has been working her ass off to become a quality in ring performer. But, other than a handful of NXT house shows and one WrestleMania six woman tag match, nobody has seen Lana in the ring. And I think they'll book the match to make Lana look good, but in the end, the winner will be Naomi. I just hope whoever wins the MITB match takes the title off of her in short order. She had her moment, now it's time to move on.
Tag Team Championship Match: The Usos (C) v New Day
For me, this is one of the hardest matches to call. My heart says the New Day but my head says the Usos. And here is why. New Day already has the record for being the longest reigning tag champions of all time. If you're looking to build the Usos into be 'the team' and to be at the top of the division for a long time, you have to give them the win. You just have to. Don't worry though, New Day still rocks.
WWE Championship Match: Jinder Mahal (C) v Randy Orton
I've been a Jinder guy since day one. Everyone thought I was crazy. But, here we are. Jinder is your WWE Champion and is having a pretty phenomenal heel run. On the otherside, you have one of Vince's favorite superstars in Randy Orton. But I think with the big push in India, the fact Randy is getting older and Jinder has a great look and is drawing big heat from crowds...I just don't see him dropping the title tonight.
Women's MITB Ladder Match: Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Carmella, and Tamina.
This match will be the most exciting on the card. It's something new. Charlotte, Nat and Becky can all work their asses off. And there is a rumored 6th woman being added to the match. A lot of people are guessing the surprise will be Nikki Bella, I think it will either be an NXT superstar or the returning Maria Kanellis. Either way, this match will have us fans on the edge of our seats for roughly 20 minutes or so. But, at the end of the night, I think the briefcase will go to the very deserving and underrated Natalya.
Men's MITB Ladder Match: Nakamura, Baron Corbin, AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler.
Sad to say, but I think this match will be the biggest let down of the night. Not that I don't think it'll be a fun match, but it will be one that we've seen a hundred times. If you saw the IC title match at WM 32, you've already seen this match. Sure there will be some crazy spots. Sure, it's always great watching Sami and KO tear each other apart. But, unlike past ladder matches, I don't think we're going to see anything particularly groundbreaking or innovative. Although, I think Sami Zayn will shock the world by becoming this year's MITB winner.
