A human skull is found in a wooded area near Haughton, Louisiana.

Bossier Sheriff's Lt. Bill Davis says the skull was found by a resident in a wooded area off Hwy 157 between Fillmore Cemetery and Emersons Grocery.

Deputies don't believe the skull is connected to the nearby cemetery, but instead believe it may have possibly been transported to the area by an animal..

The skull has been transported to the LSU FACES lab for analysis. Deputies will bring cadaver dogs to the area to search for any other remains.
