WalletHub just released their list of the Best & Worst States to Raise A Family.  A lot of these types of studies base their results on interviews with the general public, so you basically end up with a lot of opinions.  (And you know what they say about opinions.) This study's a little different--they do it by looking at metrics.  For example, for Family Fun they look at number of attractions, share of families with young children, and average commute time.  For Health & Safety they consider pediatricians per capita, infant-mortality rate, etc.  Out of the 50 states and the District of Columbia, Louisiana ranks 48th overall.  The good news is we're 16th in Family Fun and 4th lowest in Child Care Costs, so it ain't all bad!
