Louisiana Film Prize Saves the Date for 2016 Kickoff Party on January 12

Louisiana Film Prize is sure to wow us this year while celebrating five years.

It’s time to kick off another year of Louisiana Film Prize! Each year, hundreds of filmmakers flock to Shreveport-Bossier to shoot a short film and compete for $50,000. There’s just one rule, you have to film in Northwest Louisiana. Oh, and the $50K? That’s the largest cash prize awarded for a short film in the world.

And this year, LAFP will celebrate five years in the SBC!

Knowing Louisiana Film Prize, five years will call for big surprises, plot twists, lots of fun and tons of tequila. I’m so ready! Luckily we don’t have to wait long because it all kicks off Tuesday, January 12 at artspace. The event is open to the public and will include surprise guests, special announcements and much more!

It will be a night of celebrating Louisiana Film Prize’s success and kicking off yet another spectacular year of film making.
