CM Punk Offered 1 Million Dollars To Return to Wrestling
CM Punk is one of the most polarizing figures in the sports world. Punk made his bones and became a household name by becoming World Champion in WWE. However, he quit the wrestling business to train full time to become a legit MMA fighter. In his first UFC fight, Punk got his ass handed to him by Mickey Gall.
Now, some say that Punk shouldn't step back into the Octagon because he's taking spots and money that should go to younger fighters, others will argue that it was his first fight after only training for two year and he should get another shot. Either way, CM Punk has been adamant that he's done with professional wrestling and is 100% focused on mixed martial arts.
However, British Promotion 5 Star Wrestling is trying to get the 'Best in the World' back into the wrestling ring. 5 Star issued a statement saying they would pay Punk One Million Dollars to get back in the ring and participate in their upcoming tournament.
In an interview with with the UK Sun, promoter Daniel Hinkles said, 'I’ve tried going through friends in the industry, I’ve gone through his website and sent dozens of emails but the opportunity has never been this big. We want to offer CM Punk $1 million dollars (£770,000) to come and join the 5 Star Wrestling tour starting June 10th. It’s a genuine offer. We’d love to hear back from the man himself. We want to do this with him.'
At this time, Punk has yet to respond to the offer.
