Directing and starring in your own movie is cool and all, but if nobody sees it, then what's the point.

Well, Bossier City's Blayne Weaver doesn't have that problem.  After its world premier in Shreveport in July of last year, Weaver's Cut To The Chase has reached a distribution deal and will soon be released to a worldwide audience.  The last time that happened for a locally produced film was in 2009, so this is kind of a big deal.

Cut To The Chase is an action/mystery starring Weaver, Erin Cahill, Lance Henriksen of Terminator and Aliens fame, and Lyndie Greenwood who you may have seen in her role as Jenny Mills in Fox's Sleepy Hollow.

The film was shot entirely in northwest Louisiana in the spring of 2015 with a predominantly northwest Louisiana cast and crew working with a tiny budget of $100,000.  Local viewers will recognize locations in scenes like chases through downtown Shreveport, and residences in Bossier City and Bears on Fairfield.

On March 7th the public will be able to purchase Cut To The Chase on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, and XBOX.  As promotion for the digital release, screenings are being held in New York and Los Angeles next week.   The film we be screened in Shreveport at the Robinson Film Center on March 3-9 immediately followed by Q&As with the filmmakers.  Tickets are on sale now at robinsonfilmcenter.org/cuttothechase.
