Shreveport Police Arrest Man on Drugs and Weapon Charges

On March 11th, 2023, around 23:30 p.m. Shreveport Police Community Response Units conducted a traffic stop at Greenwood Road and Jewella Avenue while conducting patrols in the area to deter violent crime.

During the traffic stop by members of the Shreveport Police CRU team, Liltorius Mitchell (7-8-96) was found to be in possession of a firearm and narcotics. Further investigation determined that Mitchell was prohibited from owning a firearm due to having convictions for domestic abuse offenses.

The firearm was seized by the officers Mitchell was arrested for one count of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of Domestic abuse, one count of possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, and one count of possession of a schedule one narcotic with intent to distribute.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
