The wise man says, if you tempt death often enough, eventually, he will take the bait. A lesson learned all-too-well yesterday by Jamie Coots.
Coots, if you're not familiar with him, is a Pentecostal preacher from Kentucky, made famous as the snake handler on Nat Geo's "Snake Salvation" reality show.

On "Snake Salvation," the ardent Pentecostal believer said that he believed that a passage in the Bible suggests poisonous snakebites will not harm believers as long as they are anointed by God. On Saturday morning, Coots died of complications - due to snakebite.

He is survived by his wife, kids, and irony. Lots and lots of irony.
