Even though Walmart has been heavily investing in automated and robotic replacements for some of its 2.1 million person work force, humans are totally necessary for the store that has everything to run properly.  Unfortunately, the retail juggernaut has run into a problem recruiting new, quality employees as of late.  To combat this problem, the company that employs roughly 1% of the entire population of the United States has started recruiting at the high school level and is offering some pretty sweet benefits.

CNN reports that Walmart is offering to cover SAT and ACT prep - and college tuition.  According to the report, the retailer is expanding its "$1 a day college benefit" to employees enrolled in high school.  The program includes up to seven hours of free college credit, free SAT and ACT prep, and subsidized tuition at 6 non-profit colleges including the University of Florida, Brandman University, and Bellevue University.

Additionally, students taking advantage of the program while they are still working at Walmart will be eligible to receive bachelor's and associate degrees in disciplines like computer technology, business management and supply chain management.
