UK resident Gail Davis got a call from Apple to award her with a TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR iTunes gift card for downloading their 10billionth app and SHE HANGS UP!

(I would too.)  "I thought it was a prank call," Gail told CultofMac.com.  She remembers saying, "Thank you very much, I’m not interested" and then she hung up reports msnbc.com.  After Davis gave Apple a dial tone (right on Gail) she found out she had hung up on a legit Apple giveaway.

After overhearing the convo, her two teenage daughters rushed downstairs to the rescue and urged her to call back.  Turns out the girls had taken a break from Justin Bieber vids long enough to download the Paper Glider app that morning which, by the way, has reviews titled "TRULY CRAP", "BORING", and "LAME".

Paper Glider became the 10 billionth downloaded app...really!?  By the way, I know you're dying to find out if she DID get the 10K iTunes gift card...the answer is yes.  An Apple Exec called her back and made sure she got the gift card.  The kicker?  She doesn't even own an apple device that can download or run apps.

Looks like there are TWO morals to this story...

1.) Screen your calls.

2.) Apple makes crap that no body wants....

Although...I would like an iTunes "Multi-Pass" to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills...
