    Grilling on Main 2019

    This Friday and Saturday, downtown Minden is going to smell like Heaven for the Grilling on Main 2019 event being put on by the City of Minden - Making It Work. Area grill masters will be competing for cash prizes grilling up pork spare ribs, chicken and brisket from 8 am to 11 am each day. There will even be live music, vendors, a cornhole tournament Friday night, and fireworks!

    Snooze-A-Palooza

    Snooze-a-Palooza is happening this Saturday at George's Pond in Hirsch Memorial Coliseum at the State Fair of Louisiana for the Salvation Army of Northwest Louisiana. Registration is closed, but you can still come out to support and make a donation. Doors open at 8:30 am with a bed parade at 9:30 am and the race is on at 10:00 am. Admission is free.

    Jamey Johnson

    Hear Jamey Johnson play his country chart-topper In Color live and in person this Saturday night at Margaritaville Resort Casino. Doors open at 8 pm for the 21+ plus show and at the time of publishing only single seat tickets are available starting at $45.

    Shreveport 1st Annual Father's Day 5K Run and Walk

    Even though Father's Day isn't until next weekend, it's never too early to celebrate! Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins will lead the run at the State Fairgrounds of Louisiana starting at 8:30 am. Head to SportSpectrum USA to get registered. Price is $20 for adults and $10 for children. The event is in support of Oasis Outreach Group, who raises funds for scholarships to give to single father with children going off to college and help those in need of school supplies as children go back to school.

    Walk On's Independence Bowl Youth Football Clinic

    Join some of the best coaches from the region and D1 training staff Saturday at Independence Stadium. Sign in will start at 7 am at the southwest entrance and the camp will run from 8 am - 11:30 am. The event is free for kids from five-years-old up to incoming 8th graders. Participants will receive a free t-shirt at the end of the camp and a complimentary lunch.
