Over the last couple of years you may have noticed an uptick in the number of street improvements that are going on around Shreveport, and that's no accident. (Pardon the pun.) From 2015 through 2016, the City undertook 148 street improvement projects at a cost of nearly $46 million.  26 of those projects are continuing into 2017.  This year Shreveport will begin 50 new street projects. By the end of the year the plan is to resurface all minor arterial and collector streets.

In the immortal words of Ron Popeil, "But wait, there's more!"  The City is also planning to add Shreveport's first true bike lanes to selected streets, the first being on Centenary Boulevard.  The city is now accepting feedback on their proposed bike lane plan and you can e-mail your thoughts to bikepaths@shreveportla.gov.
