There's not many sports as truly historic as boxing. There aren't many venues as truly historic as the Hirsch. Don't miss this event!

If you're a lover of all sports like me, this should be right up your alley. Professional boxing will be making it's return to Shreveport this Friday, April 26th. Appearing on the stacked card, we have several Shreveport natives standing tall.

Shreveport’s Blake “Trouble” Franklin will be headlining the event, taking on an undefeated fighter from Arkansas, who has a professional boxing record of 8-0. Also representing Shreveport on the card, Kendrik Williams, Dezmon Wise, Blake LaCaze, and Zach Albritton.

The event, titled the "Shreveport Showdown", is the most recent installment of wonderful combat sporting events brought to town by Bishop Promotions. They are also responsible for the wildly popular AKA MMA fights at the Horseshoe Riverdome, as well as the ShoBox Boxing event held at Stage Works this past January.

Those historic doors at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum will open this Friday night at 6:00 PM, ahead of what's sure to be an amazing night as we welcome professional boxing back to the Ark-La-Tex.
