Tracy Sparaco Is Latest to Get Caught in the Act Award

But, for the rest of the world, the nomination letter that her daughter Cheyenne pinned tells you all you need to know about this Angel living here on Earth.

What a blessing she is and it's our honor to name her this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Some might say I’m a little biased. But if you were to ask anyone that’s ever had anything to do with Herndon Magnet School, they would agree that my mom, Tracy Sparaco, is the ‘behind the scenes queen.’ She’s the only secretary for K-8, which is roughly 750 students. She’s been there since I was in the 2nd grade & in the Caddo Parish School system since before I was born. I won’t expose her age, so those of you that know me can just do the math :) She’s the go-to woman for everything, from boo-boos to athletics. Though I haven’t attended Herndon in almost 8 years, to this day, I’m recognized by 8 year old strangers as Mrs. Sparaco’s daughter. & I will proudly wear that title for as long as she’s there.
Some students might describe her as intense or strict, but I guarantee the parents say quite the opposite. She answers texts & phone calls well before and after school hours for concerned parents or stressed staff members. On top of a normal hectic day in a school’s front office, she goes above & beyond for the extracurricular activities. From competition hotel & bus bookings to filling out extra paperwork to endlessly reminding busy parents of the schedules, no job is too tedious for her. Just know that if your baby attends Herndon, they have a second mom in the front office that loves them like her own & there isn’t a price in the world that could repay her for the time & energy she puts into each day.
To give you a better insight into her world: she’s a great mother to 7 children & and an amazing ‘Drammy’ to 10 grandchildren. She somehow never misses any event, no matter the weather, time or place. She always, always has an answer or solution. She’s the wisest & strongest person I know, the glue that holds our family together. Nothing has stopped her, not even cancer, from being a steadfast light in my life & so many others. I can only hope that I’m half the woman she is. Love you Momma!
